How I Been Rollin’

Quick recap of my after-Christmas Christmas vacation so far.
Don’t worry, I’ve been putting off writing this, so it won’t be tooo long and in depth.
Last week was great. Wednesday I at dinner over at Paul’s house with his brother, two other Kiwi’s that were in town, and Garth the Australian. The dinner and company were great, but when cricket became the topic of discussion I felt probably more confused then I have since coming.
Thursday I hung out with Paul’s brother Jon-O, which was awesome. Got some lunch, went to the Picasso Museum, which I had been to before but was much better the second time, and talked over a beer.
Friday I ate dinner at Paul’s again, then went to a bar with him, Jon-O and some of his roommates, then went to a club with his roommates and Jon-O. Clubs are overrated. That’s all I have to say.
Saturday crashed at Paul’s house. Saw Babel, which was okay, don’t really know if I liked it or not.
Sunday aka New Year’s Eve, hung out with exchange students from Beauvais who were in town, Brittney and Chelsea, who are some of my favorite exchange student friends. We walked for-ever, but it was amazing nonetheless. Then that night I went over to Garth’s friend’s apartment and had New Year ’s Eve, which was fun. Went out and saw the Eiffel Tower at midnight, and was disappointed that there were no fireworks. Got home really late. So therefore slept until 4 in the afternoon Sunday. It’s 2007. Crazy talk that is.

Did nothing Sunday. Watched two movies. Laid around. Etc. Etc.
Today was grrrrrrreat. Wendi (who went to FCHS and is doing her exchange in the West of France) was here, so we walked around for a while (that seems to be a trend for me, as I believe this week has been the most walking I’ve done in a week outside of backpacking), which was awesome and it was great to see her and talk to her again. Then met up with some other exchange students who were in town, Zach and Jim, who I had met on the plane coming here, who were here with some friends from home. We ascended the Arc de Triomphe, walked, ate, caféd, and basically had an amazing time. They are coming back Friday, so I’m looking forward to another fun day à Paris.

So like a trim of the hair seems to be in order. Thanks for the update. Wondering how you were.
Dad.
Hi Brent,
Glad your Christmas vacation is going well, and that you're keeping busy! Christian and I got to Toronto, Canada on Monday, Jan 1. The airline lost our baggage, so Christian just got his tonight (Wed.) and I am hoping to get mine tomorrow. We saw the CN Tower, downtown Toronto and Toronto island on Tuesday, and then I met my friend Cathy Beamish and Lindsay and Christian and Uncle Bruce and Trevor went to a hockey game that had a lot of fighting. Today we went to Niagara Falls with Aunt Nancy and Lindsay Miles. We ate dinner with Aunt Shirley and Uncle Floyd. Tomorrow we're going to have some down time. I think Christian is looking forward to sleeping in. Keep us posted,
Love Mom
Hi Brent;
It was great to see pictures of you in Paris. We are having a visit with your mom and Christian just for the night. It sounds and looks like you are having a fun yet contraversial time in Europe. Please try not to cause an international incident. Come home safe and we hope that we don't have to hear about you on CNN. Lorien is watching Scary Movie 4 with Christian, so he is getting a great cultural lesson about Canadian movie viewing habits...sort of minus the culture part. Have a great time and enjoy the experience.
Lots of Love and Happy New Year
Janice John Keith and Lors.
hey...I'll get to Paris someday...although the first time I went it wasn't to my liking...I still think there is hope...hehe! There are plain tickets for like 50 bucks to and from...so I'll come down for a weekend sometime...Going to Norway and Rome in February....kinda opposite ends...o well. Thanks for writing!
Hi Brent,
I'll be home Monday so looking forward to being able to skype you. Your rest from me bugging you is over - especially if you didn't get a haircut! Scroll down to I think the blog before this because Melanie and Jamie posted a comment but I didn't get it on the most recent blog. Today we went to church with Uncle Keith and family and their worship team was leading worship so that was nice. Then we hit Swiss Chalet of course, and spent some time at their house. Lindsay showed us pictures of salsa dancing with you. We couldn't see Nana as there is a virus going through her assisted living residence so they are in quarantine.
I guess you start school on Monday - Christian doesn't go until Tuesday so he'll have most of Monday for hanging around. We land at 12:30 our time.
Take care,
Love Mom
you forgot to mention that we did indeed descend the arc de triomphe (as i am back in bourges and not still on top of it)
